The Story
Dating back to 1840s the Orangery was originally used for growing exotic fruit and plants by the Chetwynd-Talbot family and subsequently the Earls of Shrewsbury.
A recent restoration has brought this exclusive and intimate location back into use with the addition of contemporary functional spaces. The Orangery is a charity first and foremost. Income is invested into the maintenance and continued development of the building and gardens. producing events at the Orangery and hiring the venue enables this historic grade II listed site to be used and loved by many different groups of people, for many years to come.
It is a place to make memories and share special occasions. A place that we hope you will return to time and time again.

The Orangery is a fully licensed venue for Civil ceremonies and provides a stunning location for your ceremony and evening reception, all in one place.
There are two licensed indoor ceremony spaces. However, if outside is your choice, then the Long Walk with its beautiful arched Yew trees framing your ceremony is perfect. The whole experience is unique, leaving you with memories that will remain with you always.

The Orangery is a beautiful space for you to hold your ceremony. Seating up to 72 guests for dining (tables and chairs are provided) and up to 120 guests for relaxed dining, it is a unique and fabulous space especially for photographs and is the perfect space for your day.
